How To Get Rid of Fleas: 3 Tips

Blog

Fleas are more than just a nuisance, they can give you itchy bumps all over your body, and they can do the same for any pets you have in your home as well. These pests can be difficult to get rid of, as they can be both inside your home and in your yard. They can travel on your clothing and on your pet's fur and get into your home, your car or anywhere else you go. If you have fleas in your home, you need to do a few things to get rid of them. Read on for a few tips that can help you.

1. Remove Them From Your Home

You need to start with the inside of your home, then you can move on from there. If you have seen fleas in your home, you need to set a flea bomb off in your home. If you have pets, they will need to leave the house, as well as all people living in your home. Keep all of your doors open and close the windows. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on using the flea bomb and set it off, then leave your home. After a few hours, you can go back into your home and open up the windows to allow your house to air out. Remove the flea bomb and dispose of it, then vacuum your house thoroughly. Empty the canister outside of your home. Wipe down all hard surfaces in your home and wash all bedding, pillows, and blankets. Keep an eye out over the next couple of days to see if you spot fleas in your home again.

2. Remove Them From Your Yard

Kill the fleas in your yard by using a pesticide that you can either spray in your grass, or that can be spread around in granular form. If you have pets, keep them out of your yard until the dust from the pesticide settles, or until the spray form dries. Keep children out of the yard as well until then as well. The pesticide will kill fleas and can help take care of other pests as well.

3. Remove Them From Your Pet

If your pet has fleas, they will just continue to bring them back into your home, and you'll end up in the same predicament. You need to get rid of the fleas on your pets as well. Taking them to your local groomer to have a flea bath, or to their veterinarian to have this done will also help to get rid of these pests. Give your pet a flea and tick preventative to help prevent fleas.

If you have fleas, you know what a nuisance they can be. Hire pest control services to help you get rid of the fleas in your yard or in your home.

Understanding Pest Control Products

Hey, I’m Trinity Bonner. Welcome to my site. I am here to discuss pest control products for individuals and professionals. There are various levels of pest control products on the market today. In the initial phases, individuals can use commercially available products to keep pests out of the home and kill those that invade. If the infestation worsens or continues, it may be necessary to call in a professional to use stronger products to eliminate the problem. I will use this site to explore these products, and their application requirements, in more detail. Please visit my site often to learn more.
